Q1: What is the screen made of?
A: The screen is made from a light clay. A thin layer of clay is applied to the screen and then allowed to dry. They continue the process until the screen is about one inch thick.
Q2: What does the back look like?
A: The back has a very simple design. It is finished with a lighter shade of black lacquer. There are two bamboo branches and one bird that is in flight.
Q3: Is this screen see-through?
A: The screen is not see-through or reflective. The painting and finish give it the look that you see.
