Beautiful piece. I was reluctanct to spend a lot of money on a futon, thinking that I wouldn't want a cheap metal-framed ugly foldable bed. However, this futon is made from very solid, goegrously finished wood. It is sturdy and quite easy to convert. Rather than hiding it in a bedroom, I left it out in the living room and have received many compliments from guests. Worth the money![...] Haven't been disappointed yet.

There were no alignment features for the cage nuts and it was difficult to start the narrow threaded bolts into them. Even the instructions said to "Be patient. It may take some time to get the bolts started." The washers were missing from the kit but an e-mail request and they were sent out in a week or so. After assembly, the frame folds easily and seems sturdy.

Oh my gosh! This futon is so difficult to put back into the couch position. Either we're doing something wrong, or the other reviewers are not accurately describing the process. It always takes two people and even then we struggle. We're also not that impressed with its looks in the open position. Before buying this product I extensively looked for pictures of it and could only find pictures in the couch position - where it looks very nice. Now I know why there were never any pictures in the open position - it's not very nice looking. There's an extra support leg that comes down and all the beautiful lines you see in the couch position are gone. I know you can't have everything - armless and stylish - but I wish I would've seen a picture of this before making the decision to buy it. My main reason for the negative review however is the difficulty in adjusting from bed to couch.

i got the queen dillon futon frame, upgraded mattress, and futon cover all from this site in order to confirm it would coordinate. it looks great, however i find the mattress doesn't fit quite right on the futon frame. although i got the "queen sized" futon frame, the mattress hangs off the front of the bench making it difficult to get on and off without the mattress sliding right off.

overall, i am happy with its appearance (wood does not look cheap). however, i'd probably stick with the smaller size if you decide on this one.
