Cherry Wood

Cherry is one of the most cherished furniture wood types. It is a valuable hardwood.

Finely grained, it is able to take a beautiful polish and variety of finishes. Because of its scarcity it commands a higher price than more common woods.

Cherry is quite strong, making it an exceptionally popular high end furniture component. The heart of the cherry tree is a very light color. As you move away from the heart of the tree it becomes somewhat darker. Like all woods, there is variation to be found based on each tree and what part of the tree is used.
