Poplar Wood

Poplar woods contain more than one variation of tree. Aspens, Cottonwoods, and Poplars are all considered part of the Poplar group. These trees grow large quickly, thus they can be planted and the supply rejuvenated.

Because they split easily, they are terrific for furniture because they are so easy to work with. Cottonwoods are also known as Carolina Poplars and have valuable commercial importance. They can grow as large as 100 feet.
